B&W processing in CanberraHi, just wondering if anyone knows where in Canberra I could get B&W film processed and printed.
I would like to start shooting 'pure' B&W film again and was wondering if there was somewhere I could go to where they will print them out properly without costing too much.
You could... do it yourself... like most of us do it...

Baboo,
No idea about pro labs or whatever. I imagine that most people who shoot proper B&W (not C-41) probably do their own developing and printing in Canberra (mainly art school) I'd be interested if you do find a place that specialises in film developing and processing other than the normal Teds/Camera house - I've got some Velvia/Provia to get done at the end of the month. D.
Velvia and Provia are just E-6 so... do ya'll have any Fuji Platinum's down there?
Usually a non-Kodak photo house will do them. With regards to black and white, same thing applies... a non-Kodak house is usually what you look for, however you can do it yourself (just get a change bag, a can opener, a tank and the chemicals) or you could buy black & white C-41 and it can go into any film development place you want and it'll still come out in black and white. Usually most processing places send them elsewhere. I used to got to Black & White Photography in Adelaide when I was living there. Their prints were excellent and even when I moved, I still sent my films back to them. http://www.blackandwhitephoto.com.au/ Unfortunately, it just got to be too much of a hassle. Might go back to that if I can't find a place in Canberra.
