I find this lens much more versatile than I would have thought and use it more often than expected. Cheers, Gerard
Wow You gotta be kidding Wide angles are very sensitive in the angle in which you use them but you appeared to have mastered this lens to the extreme, well done
glamy,
eBay your Sigma 12-24, the Nikkor 10.5FE is more capable of what you're doing than the Sigma 12-24. Birddog114

I like the original also.
The Sigma 12-24 could be your door stopper now Birddog114

Interestingly I've taken my new fisheye for a test drive today too. I find DxO superb at defishing the pics - much more versatile than NC. I agree about the framing too I found small movements in the orientation of the central point in the lens had a major impact on the straightness of lines. Peter

Peter,
I agree, this is one of the best features in DxO. I also manage to stitch 360 panos without problems after correction. Paul, you are welcome to borrow the 12-24. It is actually a good lens. Elffinarts, I got it from Birddog, the price is in the "bargain" section. As I said earlier it is much more useful than I would have thought.
That's sweet Gerard. Now i am really looking forward to your aircraft images when you get around to doing them. In the mean time, i suspect you will be getting some great shots of other stuff

Christian, Gerard used the FE with his trusty D70. DXo is the software to defish the view of a photo taken by Fisheye lens. Birddog114

Christian,
Hardly any PP, shot a f/8. This is a good lens which I use more than I would have expected, it is quite sharp and gives good contrast. Here is a link to DxO:http://www.dxo.com/en/photo/home/default.php This is a very good software to defish the 10.5, apparently better than Capture as it allows for progressive defishing. Cheers, Gerard
