Seen them mate thanks

I was talking to him last night about the storms.
We in NNSW mist them again; I’m starting to think it’s going to be a slack year for lightning around this region.

lightning arrestor

Postby christiand on Tue Dec 21, 2004 7:58 pm

Hi,

Does Marty travel with a lightning arrestor ?
His elevation seems higher than the area the lightning bolts went in.
I just imagine the headline, charr grilled photographer discovered after severe thunderstorm.
(I wonder how the D70 would hold up)

That’s a good point mate.
Considering how many there are of us here in OZ chasing these things I’ve yet to hear of anyone being hit.
There’s been a few close calls; I for one can vouch for that !!!!!!!

Here’s one of mine from a coulpe of years back.
Taken with a Coolpix 5700, it actually made the front page of the local paper.

I ended up with about 30 images that night, awesome display!!!!!!

Wow, lightning pic is fantastic. If I had more patience I'd probably be a storm chaser too. :)
