Everything In Moderation

Postby Nnnnsic on Wed Jan 11, 2006 8:52 pm

So Gary's back, your back, the year is back... we're all back.

Well, later throughout the year, we will be making some changes for the good with site structure and possibly even some new features which will make you like us even more.

However, to help us cope, we're adding a few members to the Moderator team.

The Moderator team originally consisted of both admins Gstark and myself, Nnnnsic, as well as moderators Geoff, Glen, and Greg B.

Well, now we add Cricketfan, MHD, and Stubbsy to the team.

Not only will these new members help out in moderation to the site, but they're now responsible for picking a Picture Of The Week every 8 weeks...

Remember that if you have any problems with the site, with another member, if you have items you want added to the calendar, or any other issue you'd normally take up with a mod or admin, the moderator team is here to help.

Welcome aboard Cricketfan, Stubbsy and MHD!
It's great to have you as fellow mods!!
This will not only enhance the site (can it get any better??!?) but also make it a tad easier for the original mods. Very worthy contenders who are now new mods!!

About time you guys decided to share the problems around!!!

A good move, and great choices - these will no doubt take some pressure off the existing mods, especially when picking POTW! ;)

Congratulations to Trevor and Scott on their new responsibilities.

For the rest of the members - I'll only accept bribes in unmarked bills and they must be stuffed inside a yellow envelope (no other colour is any good) with your name written in black letters on the front and poked into my camera bag surreptitiously at a mini meet

That was actually an important factor in the decision-making process. We feel that it's important to have moderators from the various areas within which we have a notable presence, and in this case, none of the new mods are Sydney based.

Actually, I've developed a training system for the mods.

Basically, they refer back to a thread I've done for them if they're stuck!

It's the way I spell "simple" now after seeing it used as "smiple" purposely in an email tagline.
