Just me or are there too many forum catagories ?

I haven't been here all that long but the place is great . I may be shouted down in a hail of condemnation but is it just me or are there way to many forum catogories on this board . Over 30 at a quick count . It makes it difficult to keep track .Couldn't at least half of these be absorbed into the general discussion forum .Starting first and foremost with firing the canon corral into oblivion .Just my humble opinion .

No, he won't be raged.

But a quick search would find several discussions on this topic, some as reCent as just a month or so ago.

And if you'd have read the news item that was placed here just a week ago, you'd have seen that we'll be doing some changes in this regard.

In the not too distant future.

And rather than getting rid of the Canon section, we're looking at adding a Nikon one. And if some people think that they're for talking about brand X vs brand Y, they may leave the room now.

The different brands have different features, and sometimes require specialised discussions or advice. Why people might think that is a bad idea is beyond my comprehension.
