I feel sorry for the Mod that has to choose this weeks POTW. Every week we see high standard images but the last few days have been of an unprecedented standard IMHO...

Good luck (insert suckers name here)

The suckers name is Gary  ALthough truth be told I don't think it's a chore. I'm quite looking forward to my turn which is after our picnic outing.

After a 4+ year "burn out" period from all things photographic, I've finally got the bug back and have in recent weeks scoured through all the various photographic related websites.
I must admit, from all the sites I've viewed and I do "always" look at the quality of work the members produce, this site seems to be a standout!
Maybe Aussies just do it better?

P.S. I hope people don't mind me jumping all over their pics in the critique section considering I am very much a newbie here? As mentioned, I've been out of it for 4 years and viewing and evaluating others work simply helps get my own thought process on the right track for picture taking.

Nothing wrong with critcism or critiques in the C&C section :) That's what its there for, and certainly you learn alot more from frank, honest assessments, so please fire away

I doubt this bothers anyone. The whole purpose of that section is for peer review. Newness here isn't an indicator of your ability to comment and all are encouraged to constructively share their observations. It's through that sort of dialogue that we all grow and develop and in turn I think that has a big impact on the quality of the images here.

And, back on topic, we'll see yet another example of the high quality here when the next POTW arrives tomorrow

Indeed. It's a great choice.
