sorry meant to post this in the general info
I'm not sure if others have been stung but I have done my money on a subscription to the Digital Photography Made Easy magazine.
they have sold up/liquidated in Oz and left us poor paid up subscribers with no compensation - despite earlier talk of free back issues or subs to other magazines owned by the distributors.
anyone else caught out or wondering why Highbury/paragon mags are no longer on the shelves for us beginners? Not happy Jan!!

I really liked the mags as well. simople clear instructions and reviews (not as good as the info gained from this forum tho)
my info (via a call from another publisher tidying up Paragon Highbury's mess) is that they have left Australia for good with no sign of compensation to Oz subscribers.
they are still producing the magazines in the UK but I would tread warily with any thought of sending them my $$$ from Oz.
i have sent emails to various UK staff but do not expect any reply. PS Birddog looking forward to spending some $$ with you in the future. PS Robw - are us Croweatrers easy game for the Paragons?
 cheers

Sorry to hear of your loss guys but as one who has twice been dudded by publishing bastards I buy magazines singly. If I'm in the newsagent and a cover catches my eye I'll flick through it and buy it if I find it interesting. Otherwise I'll save my dough. Bob.

I subscribe to Better Digital an Aussie mag comes out quarterly. All local content and good value. They also have a quarterly called Better Photoshop Techniques. Both are good for beginners like me.

I did like "Digital Photographer", but was always concerned that it hardly had any ads, ie it was always going to be marginal in meeting its costs. I think "Photography Monthly", a UK rag, is not bad at 10 bucks an issue. Great photos and good articles.
