Since joining this forum in March 2005, I have seen a quantum leap in the quality of the photographs that I have been taking. I know that this is due to this forum and the high level of photography that is displayed here.
For me it is the viewing of others work and the comments of other members that has made me look through the lens in a different way.
Why am I rambling on like this? Well it is partly due to the lovely bottle of red that I am enjoying, but also due to the fact that I have seen some wonderful “art” over the past ten months that I have been a member.
Thankyou to all the Mod’s (new and old) for this wonderful place of refuge from the daily grind. I love to sit at the computer in the evening and be challenged by the marvellous work that I see.

Thanks.
Mal
I've got a camera, it's black. I've got some lens, they are black as well.

I'm sure that these comments are as gratifying to the mods as they are to me.

We are here to help, and it's when we hear that we are that running this place becomes all the more satisfying.

Well I've said it before but I know I owe the users and mods here alot for the huge improvements in my skill set since joining the forum. I only have to look at my photo archive and compare the good shot ratio, not just that but I approach most shoots in a very different frame of mind and consider a lot more things when framing and composing my shots (most the time).

So a big thank you too all!

While we are on the topic, I would also like to personally thank Gary and the mods/admins, for keeping this place the most enjoyable forum I've encountered. We all know that there are some photog forums out there that quickly delve into pointless dribble & where the pi$$ing contests never end.

Here, we can all appreciate each other's work, point of view and desires to become better at what this is all about - photography......amongst having a few laughs, some contentious discussions and learning a hell of a lot.

Three cheers to you all and may 2006 bring many great "keepers" !
