Re: sigma EF500DG super flash diffusers
I have a 500 DG ST. So not sure if this is applicable. Nice flash though I would get SB600. I think the Sigma would be close to $260 australian on ebay including shipping to Aus The results are good, if you learn what to do. I dial down the power (exposure) I traded a 35-70mm f3.5 and paid 70 bucks for use on my Coolpix 5000 at Whiltons. Comparing to (I do not have SB800) my main flash a Nikon sb-80DX (the former top model) on my D100, with everything automactic its not as good in portraits, over exposed. For small room full of people just as good. For a marginal $100 saving why bother. My opinion. It great for my coolpix, no difference to SB80-DX, but on a SLR - you need to fiddle to get the results the Nikon Speedlights would give you out of the box, without looking at the manual. For Macro I think you need to fiddle with the setting irrespective of Sigma or Nikon, also on or off camera, so just for Macro I would say it should be ok. But who uses a flash "JUST" for macro my 2 cents worth I'm back

Most on this forum use this one, the Lightsphere PJ, or the earlier Lightsphere II model

thanks trevor i will look it up.
had no luck trying to find a Sto-fen omnibounce OM-C had a look at the lightsphere pj P3... has an optional dome [i presume this is so you can point the flash head forward??] have to say the sto-fen is a lot smaller, 1/3 the price and doesn't have an optional dome. Shane

it seems a good price for the Sto-Fen [16 bucks] but i more like the fact that it is an interference fit so takes up virtually no room if i leave it on the flash.
even with freight its still cheaper but it seems like a waste when paying more for freight than the product. couldn't find one around here and didn't want to pay more for freight than product .... [so i ordered a tamron 1.4x TC as well ] Shane
