Easy come, easy go....Anyone who has had to deal with their parents estates will know what I am talking about.
My father in law passed away just over one year ago. We have been forking out money left, right and centre for things. Funeral, house insurance, rates, car rego the list goes on. Finally we are in a situation to start selling some of his property to recoup our expenses. One such item has been his collection of piano accordions! For past week I have been on the internet and phone finding out about these instruments and sourcing buyers. Today I finally sold two of them. I just put them in the car to take to the dealer. BUT, when I put my foot on the clutch, it went straight to the floor! Snapped clutch cable! There goes the money again…… Like I said easy come, easy go….. It would just be nice to actually see the money go on some lens lust… RANT over, thanks for letting me vent my spleen. Mal
I've got a camera, it's black. I've got some lens, they are black as well.
Hope you can work through the sale of assets and have enough $$ to bless your wife, family... and yourself
I hope you have peace of his whereabouts... Jonathan
Mal,
This is indeed a message from beyond. Are you aware of the definition of a gentleman? A gentleman is a person who knows how to play the piano accordion. But doesn't. g.

In that case my father in law was a true gentleman. In twenty years that I knew him, it wasn't until his death that I learn't he played it. Mal

Mal,
Sorry to hear of the dramas. A clutch cable is easy to replace though. Should be no more than $100 or so for a new one, and about 30 mins stuffing around to fit it. Canon 20D and a bunch of lovely L glass and a 580EX. Benro tripod. Manfrotto monopod. Lowepro and Crumpler bags. And a pair of Sigma teleconverters, and some Kenko tubes. http://www.dionm.net/
