Hi Lisa,
Welcome to the forum. This is a great photographic community and I'm sure you'll enjoy participating. There are a lot of experienced photographers here as well as lots of newbies so don't be afraid to ask for help anytime. Our members are from all over Aus, NZ, SE Asia, UK, US & Canada so you'll get a lot of different views / opinions about just about everything. Look forward to meeting you at an outing soon. Regards Curly

Hi Lisa, and welcome.
Please feel free to relax; consider this place as your photographic home, and please ask any questions that you may have, remembering that the only stupid questions are the ones that you do not ask. g.

HI Lisa,
the first requirement to posting pictures is actually having somewhere on the web to host your pictures. I note that you already have that so you are most of the way there already The next step is to either upload the image you wish to post to your gallery ( or use one that is already there) next you would basically view the image on your screen and right click it to display the properties of the image showing the full url. next you would copy this url and paste it into a post here, highlighting the text and then clicking on the img box which appears above the box where you type you message. you will find detailed instructions as to how to do that in the image review and critique section posted as a sticky post at the top of the category. if not sure you have it correct, you can click preview prior to posting, this will show the post as it will appear. if you see the image in your preview, you are in business. click submit and you are done. the link you gave was to a html page.
you are getting warm. you need to right click on the image and get its properties. I would expect it to have .jpg on the end suppose you were posting your lorrikeet
would be the thing you need. Steve check out my image gallery @

in the post above you would hightlight the stuff that I quoted and click the img button once
the img thingies will appear at eiter end and all should be well. preview it first so that you can see if it works. if you dont see the image in the preview, you wont see it if you post it for real either. after a few it will become second nature and wont require previewing. I often preview anyhow cos I am old and senile and dont wish to look any sillier!! Steve check out my image gallery @

Here you go Lisa:
You were using the URL of the page that the image appears on in PBase... As someone said earlier, right click on the large image, select Copy Image Location (if using Firefox) or Copy Shortcut (if using Internet Explorer) and then paste it into your forum post... Put the img tags either side and you and others will see your image... Very nice image by the way... Cheers, John

Put as many photos up as you like Lisa... It's best to post them in the Image Review & Critiques section though... You can discuss Canon specific items in this section and use the General Discussion area for general items...
You'll find that you can't post in some of the areas in the beginning, but these will open up to you if you stay around... It's all covered in the FAQ... Cheers, John
