Hi MHD!
I agree. We had snow too. Every single time we were supposed to see mountains they were covered with grey cloud! Had a great time though and NZ is certainly a beautiful country. I took my D70 with great plans to set up pictures and do fancy things and as usual I ended up snapping away and being unhappy with 99.9% of my pictures. I'll learn one day I guess! Enjoy the rest of your trip.

Looking forward to seeing what pictures you are able to take of my homeland MHD.

Was talking to my parents on Christmas day, and they reckon this year has been one of the worst they can remember for weather. The wind is back after several years of low winds, they had really bad floods in February, and now December has been shocking.

Mind you, looking out the window where I am right now, it hasn't been all that good over here either! At least we're getting warmer than you've had the last week or so (my parents were using the heater on Christmas Eve!).

See ya

Hmm... Now in Franz Joseph and it is still raining!!

One thing I have learnt is that dont assume when you buy something that says it is lens cleaner that it is lens cleaner!!

I bought a bottle of "stuff" and all it turned out to be was a detergent slouytion! Fortunately, being the suspicious type I tried it on my UV flter first.... so lens is still clean!

I have managed to catch some OK pictures... actually had a day of sun on sunday (hehe)

hehe - We had our honeymoon in the South Island, I had two theme songs from that trip:

Crowded House "Always take the weather"
Jenny Morris "Break in the weather"

Hope you're enjoying yourselves anyway :)

Glad you're at Franz Joseph rather than Fox - I think you chose the better of the two. Say hello to my Kea friends when you see them (they'll be chewing your window seals!).
