Xmas raffle

Postby Raydar on Sat Dec 25, 2004 2:25 pm

How’s this for a barging!!!!!

The missus went into a raffle yesterday at Kmart for the staff members.
Bought $6 worth of tickets in a new computer & won the bloody thing.
It’s a HP Pentium 4 2.8 gig, 256med DDR, 17 LCD HP monitor, The PC has an all in one card reader CD RW 80 Gig HD with a Geforce FX 5100 64megDDR graphics card

So the old AMP is getting given to a friend so she can get into Digital photography.

I’m a happy camper ATM 8)

Cheers
Ray :P

Congrat!
Raydar,
That's may stop your lust on the lens, cos you have to spare some change to upgrade to 512Mb or 1Gb memory, a DVD burner and a decent monitor than the HP 17" LCD (AOC brand rebadged = $370.00). Does the graphic card has dual monitor capability?
Most HP 15' or 17" HP LCD are AOC brand. If you have the good size of CRT monitor, keep it as second monitor and upgrade the video card to dual monitor. Very convenience and easier in working with photoshop and NC.

Welll done Ray, It's good to win things at times, i went on the Pink Ribbon run with my Ulysses friends and i got 2 tickets for 2 bucks and won a new Helmut and a night in a cottage up the road at the local vinyards at Connawarra, Those who drink wide would have heard of that place no doubt so u can be lucky sometimes.
Congrats on the new puter.

Congrats to your wife for winning the raffle.

A shame it's an HP, tho.

Not sure this is the right section for this post tho... moving it to a more appropriate section.

Well I got it up & running, took most of the day but I’m more than happy with the out come.
The bloke that packed the PC carton made a major stuff up I discovered when looking at the system information.

It has an 80gig HD alright but there’s a 120gig one there too “1st bonus”
“2nd bonus” Instead of 256 Meg DDR ram there is 768meg
Both drives are Maxtor.

So I’m a happy camper tonight no up grades for this PC for a while so I can get back to my lens lust birdy!!!!!

Cheers

Congratulations to your wife. :D
Looks like you are the winner out of this. :D :D
I would not waste your money buying a Lottery Ticket for the next year, as I think you have used up all your luck.

Cheers,
fozzie
