Quick question - Benro tripod mount thread sizesI've had a bit of a hunt around and can't get a definitive answer on this ...
Do the Benro tripods (eg C327) have only a 3/8" mounting thread or also a 1/4" mounting thread? I'm contemplating the panosaurus to go with my upcoming tripod purchase, and it only works with 1/4". I have a feeling this won't work directly. -- Rog
Canon 20D, 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS, 70-200mm f/4 L, 50mm f/1.8, 420EX Speedlite, Benro C327 & KB2 + bits
i can't speak for the c327, but with the c227 it does have both 3/8" and 1/4" mount.
I'm sure you can always get adapters to change the threads, but if you're buying the benro, then you shouldn't have any problems.
Thanks Birddog,
Is it a spring loaded arrangement or similarly convenient setup, or are tools required to switch between? -- Rog

Not a spring loaded. It's a metal stud with 3/8" and 1/4" mount in each end, supplied with a small spanner so you can turn it around to suit your equipments Birddog114
