D70 S or D200

Postby mic on Fri Feb 17, 2006 1:27 pm

I am still deciding on what second body to get

Will I stick to a good proven performer in the D70 S and have my D 70 as a back up ?

The D 70 S will have a bigger LCD Back I beleive ? and hopefully little Gremlins ironed out of it.
Oh and cheaper too

OR

The great D 200 Whiz Banger with a faster draining batterey ? Banding ?
and no one has any for sale ?
And who knows what might start cropping up in these New D 200's ?

Should I stay safe and use whats proven or be daring and the Hell with it all !

If you are happy with the results that you are getting out of the D70 for the moment then get another one, otherwise you wil constantly be confusing yourself with the two systems whenever you are trying to use the two cameras at once.

A long time ago when I had just one F90X I borrowed an F801 as a second camera to do a wedding; in a fast happening moment I pushed two buttons that would normally drop one of the cameras into program mode and suddenly I noticed the film was rewinding!

I now have two F100s and I will be going for a second D200 as soon as I get approval from the boss.

Keep things the same and you will never have a problem in the heat of the action. Hope this is a help.

Antsl, very good common sense there, makes a lot of sense. I think I will go this way.
