I know we can't talk about parituclar entries, but I have to say they are some great entries and some very clever ideas, well done to everyone that submitted one.

I would also quietly mention, I few look a little too familar....

Cool, thanks Scott! With the old system, it was assumed that you'd give top marks to your own image. What are we going to decide to do for the new system? Vote for your own plus 4 others?

Agreed on the 'fire and ice' theme, seems popular!

That is entirely up to you, but I would suggest if you like your image it should be one of your votes...

Hi Scott,

thanks for putting together the new voting system, looks good. I think that it does simplify the voting and hopefully will entice more members to vote.

I also think that when there are a lot of entries, it ends up making it fairer.

So lets get to the voting :D

Cheers,

André

Scott, I just thought the system was broken when it wouldn't accept my tenth vote for myself  No a great simplified system you have there, should make voting much easier

Tough to decide the fav five. Some very innovative interpretations of the theme which is great to see. Well done all!

Dunno if anyone's really gone too far out on a limb Cardigan - I can see the theme in each of them.

I can see the theme in all of them, though can see why some would prefer the more straightforward interpretations

We had a much bigger field last challenge but I think all the shots stayed a lot closer to the opposites theme (which is a very broad one) then last time.

When I was originally brainstorming I came up with some rippa ideas, but then thought I'd google opposite theme photos comps. Nearly all my ideas had been used, so I went for something different that hadn't been down, and it involved into my final image (which I'm still not happy with). :)

Not to detract at all from the 'straightforward' entries, I love the shots that bring out a more interesting viewpoint, a way I wouldn't normally have thought about the theme. Some of the shots here have done that really well.

I wonder if the fact that this is a no-prizer kept the number of entries low? I hope not.

I hope it wasn't that but I suspect for some the lure of the prizes would be an additional motivation.
I think right now is a pretty busy time for most people, I know that while I had plenty of ideas it just didn't have the time to set them up and see how they went.

Must admit that this is the first challenge I have not entered and it has nothing to do with not having any prizes. Simply ran out of time :)

Hi,

I did manage to get my entry in, but as others, time was tight. I had brainstormed a few good ideas, but never got to execute them

I should still try to get them as some should be good for Aussie Dave's SEE. All that brainstorming shouldn't go to waist

It is amazing how much time a new guide dog puppy takes

Cheers,

In other online photo comps, there was sooo many fire / ice and fire / water and fire fire fire themes. :) So I think its a going trend. Fire is such a dynamic element it is great and challenge to photograph well.

Hopefully you'll have more luck than me. My 3-yr-old Jack Russell still gives the carpet a bit of a squirt whenever he's let inside and nobody's watching him but I think that's just a result of him being insane. Maybe I'll reciprocate and pee on his kennel every now and then so he knows what it feels like..

I'll fourth that, I also thought one was Chris' (I wonder if we all thought it was the same one? ). Just goes to show though, almost every time I've thought "oh that must be so-and-so's image" I've been wrong! :o
