lens sold for. :shock: :shock: :shock:

I emailed the seller asking him if he had a repair quote and this was his answer:

Yes, Total cost $2315.- of which $850 is labour.
Most internal parts need replacing including circuitry Gyro and VR units.

The only thing I can think of is that somewhere along the line, some insurance company is going to pay to get this fixed or replaced.

If you had one at work you could do a swap and no-one would notice till it was too late. There are lots of unscrupulous people around looking out for the main chance.
