EXIF and Photoshop 6

Postby Sheila Smart on Fri Feb 24, 2006 9:30 am

Never thought I would be posting anything on the Nikon forum :D Someone on my PBase site has a D70 and uses Photoshop 6 but cannot see any EXIF data when he looks at File information. I recall that you can read EXIF on PS6 but don't quite understand why he cannot see it. Any ideas?

Cheers

NEF or JPEG?

The file info for PS6 and 7 wasn't really developed for EXIF until the CS series came around.

Is that person using the Save For Web option? That strips the EXIF out.

No. I believe that he just can't see any EXIF when he has his image in PS6 by clicking File information.

I originally shot the pictures in RAW and have sinced worked on them in photoshop 6. If I get CS and load this onto my computer will the exif data become available? I haven't tried to save them for the web, there is just no information on the file info :?:

Hi Jim

Welcome to the forum! I would download a trial CS2 and see what happens. Here's the link to download a trial version of Creative Suite
