CS2 and Bridge - how they display NEFHi Guys,
My apologies if this is an amateur question, but just quickly ... if / when I use bridge to view my NEF's, it seems to apply the "auto" everything that ACR does by default. Likewise if i open a NEF into CS2, by default it shows "auto" ticked in every column ... i need to manually untick them all to actually get back to the image as it was exposed (often it adds +3ev and does crazy things to brightness, contrast etc)) My automatic actions / scripts in CS2 know to turn that off when im doing a batch process ... but when im just browsing through 100 or so NEF's and doing a cull after a long shoot, id like to see them as they are, not as ACR auto-guess. Any useful tips on this one? Winblows Explorer doesnt seem to do it. However its slow and cumbersome to use as a quick viewer and culling nefs. http://davidsonimagery.com/

I have the same problem - i use the ctrl + U to remove the auto ticks all at once.

The link beat me to it!
You need to save your Camera Raw Defaults. I have a nice little s-curve saved as part of my defualt settings so I only ever need to tweak WB and exp.; very rarely adding a bit of contrast and saturation. Using this you can also tell the files (in Workflow Options) to process at 300dpi rather than the random 240dpi they often get assigned!! Liam =]
