Does anybody have a suggestion on who to use to ship a PC overseas. I'm looking for the cheapest option and was looking at sub $300AU to do it. If anybody could steer me towards a good company to do this it'd be much appreciated.

Kipper A little advice either pack the guts of the pc with bubble wrap or remove everything and wrap separately to avoid damage . I sent a PC to PNG with out packing and it was stuffed when it arrived LOZ

Loz, I have the box that the PC case came in which has polystyrene around it. I was going to possibly wrap the rest of the items inside in bubble wrap aswell.

Why not just take out your hard drive and buy another PC overseas. Probably more cost efficient.

The UK isn't exactly the cheapest place for computers.
Or anything, for that matter.

If you do take out your hard drive then you have to bring along your existing mainboard + VGA card + etc....
He may not find the same mainboard with the same chipset overthere.

I wonder how you and your family moving stuff to the UK from Australia?
If there're many items, consider Sea Freight + the lots of personal items which you + your family want to bring back to UK.

Yes Birdie that is true
But when the Queens goes back and Kipper goes too, it will soon be Kipper's money paying for the Queen!

Daryl,
Open the PC's case, and pack your clothes into the innards, securing each of the components within the case. Then close the case, and pack suitable soft clothing items around it in your general luggage.
Or just get a laptop.
