I'm being published!

Postby Nnnnsic on Wed Mar 15, 2006 4:59 pm

I can't say a lot at this time, but a review I've done is being published.

Since the publication is specialised, the publisher has promised me that I'll be able to put up a copy of the article here for people to read as well as my own version of the article made for forum tech heads with a bit more information that was cut out.

But I can't say a lot till my NDA buggers off. Still, good news eh?

Leigh is actually quite proud and excited about this.

And I can understand why too (remembering the thrill when my first works were published)

Congratulations and well done.

If so and they edited as Leigh suggested, does that mean 42 has become 31.5 or 21 (depending on how hard they sliced and diced it) :?:

Congratulations. Having had a few of my articles published over the years I know the buzz you're feeling. Hope the NDA is up soon or you'll explode trying NOT to tell us the juicy bits (other than the 42,000 bit's you've hinted at already :D )

NDA expires quite soon (it technically expires the moment the publication hits news stands) and I can give you a broad hint.

I probably won't other than to say it's an optics device.

The NDA had an exception with Dad because he lived with me.

Not much I can do about him seeing it, and besides, Dad has had to follow NDA's himself.

It also had an exception with the people who were publishing the article as... well... they had to read the article before the NDA expired to publish it.

Well, I got it signed and confirmed on Halloween Australian time (October 30th 2005 US time), so I can post it early March 31st as it was a 6 month NDA.

Which I intend on doing.

Complete with image samples from it, which the magazine review does not have.

And no, Leek. The other NDA I had ran out so you have no idea what this thing is.
