Holiday advice

Postby Oneputt on Thu Mar 23, 2006 8:38 am

My wife and I have decided to head to Vietnam for a holiday. We will probably have 8-10 days at our disposal. What are the must things to see bearing in mind that we want to erxperience as much of the culture as possible without racing madly around. Any help would be appreciated.

I can recommend the following places:

- Hanoi, Old Quarters
- Ha Long Bay
- Cu Chi, tunnels/history
- Mekong Delta

I didn't actually do heaps of touristy things when I was there last year. Spent a most of my 4 weeks visiting friends.

I you are wanting to experience the culture, I wouldn't miss the Old Quarter in Hanoi.
Sounds like quite a few of out members have been to or come from VN. I'm sure they will have more to say.

Thanks GG. You are right in that we have a few members from Vietnam, I am hoping that they see this if not I will PM them.
