Help! Strange Error Using D70sHi All,
I took the following two pictures yesterday morning. I did not change any settings between them and this is what I got, straight from the camera: What's going on here? Should I be worried? This is the only time it has happened. Also, a completely seperate issue, I have experienced some strange ghosting when looking through the viewfinder at high contrast images (ie. when looking through a bright window frame from a darkish room). Basically a ghost of the bright light appears over the window frame. This does not show up on the images, but only occurs when looking through the viewfinder. Is this possibly a mirror problem, or is it nothing to worry about? Has anyone else experienced this? The camera is still within warranty..is it worth taking it in? I don't want to be without a camera for weeks if I can help it. Appreciate your expertise... -macka
Macka , had exactly the same thing with my D70, only happened once in 10k of images.. Not sure what it was maybe corupt writting to the CF?? Not sure .
If it happens again I would be worried, but as yet has not to me. MATT
Must be Nikon's version of the expired film fluke.

Glen, I'm glad you didn't apply any PP to this. It's nice to see what the truth really looks like. g.
