Hi Everyone,
I want to do a last minute, Shave for the Cure fundraiser. Aimed primarily at my workmates. So I want to send a round this photo of my (my work portrait) and then one of my looking like I have shaved my head and I mean number zero shaved.
Can anyone help me, I want to send the email of before the end of the day ? After all the great Leigh photoshops recently I hope this isnt' too hard, but it was be really good to help raise money for cancer!
(If I end up looking like Matt B, just wait for more Self portraits )
So anyone got a few minutes to help ?
Thanks very much,
Craig

If you can take shots of your head from the front and both sides, I can get a head generator going and you can see in 3d.

Make sure that the exif data is suitably edited too.
I think that Stubbsy may have some soon to be recent experience in this.

Well the excellent news is that I have already well exceeded my target!
Thanks to Mark's quick and dirty PP skills, I've had responses flooding in, so I'll be bald in just over a week. On the 6th, and just me there should be some good photos I hope to share too!
My goal was $150 to shave my head, and I've already hit over $300 so I'm stoked. If anyone is interested in sponsoring me, send me a PM. You can pay online via a credit card
Thanks everyone!

Craig
Wonderful endeavour, and I hope you raise megabux.
Always on the lookout for a possible "scam" (for want of a better word), I reckon you should run an alternative fundraiser simultaneously.
Your head looks so crook nude, I think you'd get even more money if you offered not to shave your hair off.
Depending on which side wins, then you could shave or not shave.
Simple, no?

See, I'd been thinking of getting my head shaved, but because I wanted to... not because I'd be doing it for some sort of fundraiser.
Still, I'm generating that Craig 3d modelled head at the moment... well.. in 5 minutes anyway...

If you showed them Mark's PS jobbie then they're probably wonder where you hide all that extra skull under your hair. I don't think your head is THAT big is it

LOL, peter, I do think it's extragerated a little, but it did the trick the shot is being sent via email around the globe, and its the idea of me looking like a geeky cone head that is bring in the money Thanks again Mark!

Craig - pm sent.
Congrats on doing something for such a worthy cause - I did it a couple of years ago (in the middle of the international airport) and went from just longer than shoulder length wavy hair to... well.... a very bald head It's amazing when you feel the air when you walk, or the rain on your head ... only bad thing will be the velcro head when it grows back
And yes, I looked like an evil dyke (just ask Manta )

FaceGen Modeller, a 3d head generator I use that takes the time out of modelling heads.
You still have to model bodies, but using a point system, you can use side profiles and front shots of a head and over time, even with how buggy it is, it'll create a detailed head for you.
Like this one.

Another Newbie question of a different kind.
For people that shave their head, what sort of shaving device do they use ? A normal razor blade and cream/soap, an electric shaver, just clipper ?

Ow. My eyes.
I've seen a couple of these fundraising shaving things in companies I've worked at over the years.. Always a lot of fun, and it's for a good cause. The electric clippers seem to be the favoured option, but I suppose it depends a bit on just how CLOSE you want to be shaven

To go from long hair to clean.. I usually go the clippers with no shoe.
My Wahl clippers get very close on thier own, then I usually just go soap and a few disposable razors.
If its the first time, put some cream on your dome after. IF going out in the sun, wear a hat and suncream. Your baldy head is very sensitive to the sun.
But for raising money, usually the clippers with no shoe is low enough and every one will laugh and pay..
Good lUck

Thanks everyone for the suggestions, I think I'll go clippers first and depending on how it goes, have shaving cream and some disposable razors on stand by.

Great news, the shave goes ahead tomorrow (I think around lunch time) and so far the Tally stands at $995 which I'm over the moon about!
Thank to all those that contributed, and I'll post some shots tomorrow!
