Thanks everyone, I've raises $ 1110 and counting...

Well due to a number of reasons the majority didn't want me going bald bald, I had the shaving cream and razors, but its a bit of a health risk, plus as you can see from some of the shots, I have a lot of bad pimples in my head.. I didn't mind either way.

Craig

Looking at the last shot, I guess that means you are a genetically modified organism now.

How does it feel? Bet you can feel the wind rushing past your scalp as you move your head.

My head is now really sensitive to temperature change. I had to go into the comms room (kepts around 15 degrees), gave me a similar feeling to a icecream headache. It's an odd sensation, but I don't mind the no hair thing. Katie hates it, but it's my head and hair ;-)

It takes a brave soul to lose a fine head of hair such as you had. :)

However, you now look like a fine candidate for the United States Marine Corp, hoooyahh!!!!!

Craig - well done :)
And fantastic fund raising as well !!!!!!!!
Told you it feels pretty weird huh? this is a shot of me when I shaved mine
Image
before the shot, it was past my shoulders and very curly ;), but it has pretty much grown back even longer than before I shaved it, but being 'bald' feels just amazing !!

Well done again - you should be proud 'numnut' :) ;)

alpha what charity is this for? It really great to have donations into a charity. Very grateful for people like you. :D

It might not be much money but it does keep experiments going. I am currently supported by Arthritis Aus, without it I wont be doing any but twiddle my thumbs.

Thanks Nito http://www.worldsgreatestshave.com/ for more info
The charity is the Leukaemia Foundation.

Mattb - I didnt mind the weird hairstyles, but my work might have a thing or two to say about it, some of them weren't even keen on the plain black hair dye ()

Rel - It does feel very cool, its also awesome that I can help out with so many donations I just can't believe how generous people were! Thanks!

Thought it was for the leukemia foundation, but isnt it in May? When I was in cancer research, they often sponsored the more innovative projects and new investigators. :D

Gov funding is harder to obtain and is much more conservative and less open to new people. Often it is who you know and not about your research.

The official date is May 4th-6th, I started earlier as I wanted some hair when I got to fiji, sunburnt scalp wouldn't be fun, and It also give me more time to collect donations.

Careful, you might end up looking like Stubbsy.

God only made a few good looking heads & put hair on the mistakes, you have been travelling incognito by the looks of yours.
