Updated gallery

Postby owen on Thu Apr 06, 2006 2:20 pm

Hi everyone. I updated my gallery and am just after some feedback.

Do the images seem to be of good quality to you?

Is the layout easy to navigate?

Any other comments would be appreciated.

Owen,

I like the colour scheme. I use a similar one for my Gallery2.

I dont like the little icon things in the action pane. They can be turned off I think.

Nice pics too

Very nice owen.

Colours look great (although take that with a grain of salt from me :))
Easy to navigate
Fantastic photos.

The only thing I'd say (apart from to get rid of the little icons mentioned...way too bright!!) is that I'd like to see the image centered in the frame.

I seem to remember having a bit of trouble doing that when I was using Gallery2 though. I got it to work but can't remember how... and I'm not using gallery2 anymore.

Otherwise great!

Looks great Owen. You're worrying about the quality of the images? Relax, they're fantastic. It's a pleasure viewing all of them.

Is it possible to make the size selection persistent? It gets a bit tedious having to use the drop-down to select the size every single time, and looking at little images on the top left of my monitor is bad enough when there's only one size available...

I'm probably moving to Gallery2 on my site, so all this stuff is making me think. I want something better than what I have (generate static HTML at home and upload), but exactly what is still open.

Not currently no. That's something not yet implimented in Gallery2. Apparently they are working on it though. It was a feature of Gallery1.

They have very recently released version 2.1 of Gallery2... might have fixed it in there.

I don't really know the ins and outs of the gallery software, I just wanted an album that looked semi decent so I would be able to show off some images. There is a link below the drop down box to display the full size image, however i just had a quick look through the options and as nikonuser said there doesn't appear to be any setting for that.

Thanks for all the comments and constructive help. I really appreciate it.

Regards,
Owen.
