How to insert a picture?

Postby glamy on Tue Jan 04, 2005 9:42 pm

How do I insert an image in the message? Or where do I look for instructions?
Thanks,
Gerard

What happens when it doesn't work? ( can you show us? )
What is the picture you want to insert? ( can we get a link? )

Gerard,

Also, you need to note that the reference that you're placing here must be to a specific image, and not just a page.

That means that, when you post the reference, it should be to the fully qualified URL ... something like http://MyPictureSite/MyImageName.jpg

If you reference a page, it won't work.

And be aware that some picture hosting sites don't permit direct referencing anyway.

Platinum Weaver,
You can see what happens on the topic "180 at Wollongong", a red cross just appears, but a couple times, it worked.

Garry,
I right click on the image, click properties and paste the url in the message , boxed by[img]. Anyway, considering the thread regarding the size of pics I think I'll stick with the link to let people choose whether they'd like to see the pics or not.

Cheers,
