Not sure if I should be posting this in here or under critiques, but the addy is: http://rnhphoto.com The bio and rates section are essentially empty, but the navigation, feel and pics are what i was shooting for. . I think . . Comments/Critique please. -Rich D70, 18-70 DX, Sigma 70-300 APOII, Nikkor 50mm 1.4D, SB800, Bogen 3046 w/Manfrotto 322RC2 ballhead, Lowepro Nova 2 AW
Hi Rich
Interesting and artistic splash page Easy and intuitive navigation I would add a statement about your geographic service area of business on your splash page and also a link to a page where you state what services you provide. Cheers Graham
I like it a lot, very simple to navigate, what did you use to build it, i am unhappy with the photogalleries on my site, im never satified with it, http://www.wburnett.com im using microsoft front page,

simple is best. very similar to how i'm doing my site, including the use of iframes to refresh new images.
I'm just adding dynamic directories so i just upload a directory with thumbnails and images and dont have to mess with the html. william, i would suggest a switch to dreamweaver and using jpg's instead of gifs. Its not a big deal for broadband people, but the page would twice as fast for modem users if you switched, and thats on medium compression of the jpg. Simon
www.colberne.com.au I purchased a Teddy Bear this morning for the sum of $10. I named him Mohammed. This afternoon I sold him on E-Bay for $30. My question is, "Have I made a prophet?"
It's all writtin from scratch in a *nix text editor, and I used PS to make the different sized shots. btw, I really like the shots under the 'nautical' section of your site. -Rich D70, 18-70 DX, Sigma 70-300 APOII, Nikkor 50mm 1.4D, SB800, Bogen 3046 w/Manfrotto 322RC2 ballhead, Lowepro Nova 2 AW
yeah, I dig simple. I hate sites with impossible to find/use navigation, etc. I'm likin the iframes so far too. First time I've used it, but it seems to work real well. -Rich D70, 18-70 DX, Sigma 70-300 APOII, Nikkor 50mm 1.4D, SB800, Bogen 3046 w/Manfrotto 322RC2 ballhead, Lowepro Nova 2 AW
I was thinking that too, but can't decide how to do it. I'm actually very UN-artistic and it was only by luck that the splash page came out looking ok. Everywhere I try and add text, it seems to muck it up. Any suggestions? -Rich D70, 18-70 DX, Sigma 70-300 APOII, Nikkor 50mm 1.4D, SB800, Bogen 3046 w/Manfrotto 322RC2 ballhead, Lowepro Nova 2 AW
A quick suggestion. modify the menu top to bottom reading
Home Bio Rates Contact Seems to make more sense and is more familiar to the surfer in that order. Cheers Cyrus It is more important to click with people than to click the shutter.
