Adelaide Zoo Immersion ExhibitI know a few Adelaide members have already been along to the Adelaide Zoo's new Immersion exhibit. But for most of you who haven't yet see it, it looks like a great place for photo opportunities. No fences, just direct views and a little bit of glass.
Here is the central hub: The hub has glass looking into the Sumatran Orang-utan exclosure and the Sumatran Tiger #2 underwater viewing area: To the left there are unobstructed views into the left half of the Sumatran Tiger #2 enclosure: (who can spot the tiger in this shot?) To the right there are also unobstructed views into the Sumatran Orang-utan exclosure: (If the tiger isn't doing much, just spend a couple of minutes changing to a wide angle lens and then within minutes the tiger will be performing. The only problem is by the time you've changed lens again, the tiger will have disappeared again. Worked for me. ) Daniel Nikon D4, D2Xs, D70, Nikkors and Sigmas lenses from 10 to 400mm

Looks like that'll be a great enclosure for photog's and a nice home for the animals living there too... The Melbourne Zoo's also going through a bit of a re-vamp with a new enclosure for the Orang's and spending yet another gazillion $'s on the elephant's...
Don't you wish you had their landscapers working on your yard? Aka Andrew
I agree completely. I'm open to donations. Daniel Nikon D4, D2Xs, D70, Nikkors and Sigmas lenses from 10 to 400mm
