D70 hard storage case + room for extrasHey all,
I'm a newbie D70 owner and have just put together a storage case for the camera and extras including 2 extra lenses. I put the whole thing together from parts. All for less then $70 Enjoy!
Look good, but how do you carry them all day long? perhaps same as a brief case, it will hurt your hand and shoulder.
Once your system grew with more lenses especially big zoom lens, where can you fit them? two briefcases in two hands. Birddog114

imarine,
I would not recommend leaving your case with any photograhic equipment in your car, due to the possiblity of theft. Also check with your Insurance company to see if your policy will cover loss of equipment in unattended motor vehicle. Cheers, fozzie
When people ask what equipment I use - I tell them my eyes.
By the looks of that you need to get one ot our D70Users neck straps from Birddog, they have quick release connectors so that you can easily remove the strap from the camera and are much more comfortable as well.

I'm second to fozzie, my gears should stay home in a safe place or be with me in my backpack.
Secondly, leave them in the car in summer time is no good at all! heat will cook all the seal inside the lens and body. That case is good for use to ship or use it in transit for precisely equipments, not very convenient for daily use. I looked at some other hardcases from Pelican but did not like the idea. I need to reach or access my camera very quickly if there's an opportunity to shoot, sometimes I leave it on the front seat while I'm driving, of course with all the door locked as pre-caution. imarine - I used two Pelican cases with my D1 and all the lens and flash units etc and I agree it’s a good way to store the units.
After going to Fiji with the larger of the 2 cases and a laptop etc I decided to go the backpack way and save my old shoulder and arms. Wait til you get a 200-400VR - you will need a removal van!!! Chris Chris
