really right stuff (RRS) best place to buy?

Postby avkomp on Thu Apr 20, 2006 2:16 pm

I am going to need some lens plates etc.
I figure quite a few members are already using RRS stuff
so

basically I would like to know whether or not you can buy them in australia or whether it is just easier (and/or cheaper) getting them directly from RRS?

assistance greatly appreciated.
thanks.

birdy prefers you to go direct he is busy
i went direct no problems although the only thing that is concernign about their online order system is that it makes you put your credit card details in then when you get to the page to specifiy what you want ordered and the item is not in stock it tells you then after you have submitted your credit card details

so always email first and check for stock availability, then order

Steve,
I used to buy from them on behalf of members on this forum and even spending US$10k in one order, I never get any discount on quantity buying.
Just doing favours to our fellows.
Buying direct also getting the same price as buying or ordering thru me, no difference.
No one in Australia has the distributor status with them and they don't care to grant any rights to reseller or distributor, it's their policies since day 1 now.

I have the lens plate (97L) for 80-400VR which I can loan to you for use till you get yours same as the G1325, if you wish to pick them up, give me a call on my mobile and preffered today.

thanks for the info guys.

and thanks for the offer of the loaner Birdy. (whatta guy!!)

will be ok though, because I will just order the stuff from RRS (after first taking wendells advice about emailing first!)

Thanks again.
