Congrats to everyone, especially the place getters. It's a little sad we could only muster 16 shots when we have such a large and active member base.

Well done to Heath, Owen and Sydneycam and to everyone that entered.

Thank you Scott for running the challenge again. I think the voting system is much better now.

Lovely portrait Heath, well done. I thought it might be a toss up with yours & Owen's.

I agree with Craig that it's a bit disappointing that there are so few entries with such a large membership.

Thank you Scott for organising it.

Oops, very remiss of me not to thank Scott, he's a busy man yet he finds time to help us all out by running the challenges, and hosting them at his expense. Thanks MHD!

Yes, after some experimenting I think we have found the best voting system now, this system was both easy and gave great differnetiation between place getters...

Stay tuned for comp 10!

Congratulations to the winners.

An observation:
For this comp we had 16 entries- the equal lowest number with our very first comp and back then we had significantly less members - so what the hell were the rest of you doing? Why didn't you enter?

It really wasn't a challenging theme either, it left it very open to interpretation.

Actually Craig, I found it very challenging. I'm at the stage where I'm looking for some beautiful natural light for my shots, and I'm having a lot of trouble finding the shots. I think it's got something to do with my aversion to getting up at 5.30am.

Come on #10.

Cheers

I knew the shot I wanted and eventually saw the opportunity and it turned out better than I expected. So it wasn't challenging in terms of thinking of an idea, but it was in regards to getting the shot.

Congratulations to the two winners.

I've not entered due to a combination of not having the time to take any pics, and when I do they are crap! I'll definately make the time to enter the next one.

The theme for this comp has been blamed fro the poor turn-out of entries, despite a large number of members saying at the beginning that they felt the theme was a good one that would get the creative juices flowing.

I put several possible themes up for consideration but I'm sorry you didn't like the one that was finally approved.

Congratulations to Heath, the placegetters and all who entered.

I wouldn't put the blame solely on the theme of the challenge.

Personally it was more a lack of ideas than a lack of time. Don't feel too bad about it Manta - half the challenge of the challenges is coming up with the ideas and the other half is capturing your ideas as photos.

Look forward to the next Challenge!

I think there were some great photos in this comp. Perhaps I'm saying what others are thinking but I think maybe the fact that there were no prizes deterred some people from entering? I'm not saying that there needs or should be prizes, but the fact remains that when there were prizes there were a lot more entries.

Anyway I look forward to hearing what the next theme will be.
