How do people carry filters?

I'm now carrying three 77mm filters with me, and I'm already over the plastic cases they come in as they seem quite bulky and the Canon case feels a bit fragile. I have the Canon 500D that's about 20mm thick, a CPL (10mm thick) and an ND4. Plus a couple of adapter rings.

What are other people using to store filters in their camera bags? ideally something fairly flat would be good so I can dump them in a pocket on the bag. I'm thinking of trying to find a tupperware or similar container that's the right size.

I carry CP for all my lenses and have a UV(0) on them all the time for protection.

I wrap my CP in a spare lens cleaning cloth.

I use filter caps. Search for filter caps on eBay. Essentially stacking the filters together and a cap on each end to protect them.

Lowepro make a filter case that can have up to 6 filters, max filter size 82mm. It is around $20AUD.

I've been thinking of getting one, if I do, I'll post to this thread.

I have the Lowepro pouch, same as using it and recommend few members use it.
It's excellent, you can see it if you can come today pick up your 4Gb card.

I can also vouch for the benefits of using the lowerpro filter pocket. It provides ample protection and folds up quite well. Well worth the minimal purchase.

The Lowepro filter pocket is great

But when I KNOW I am only going to need one filter, I simply pack it in one of the cases that my B+W filters came in. They're smaller than the Hoya ones, and made of slightly softer plastic so they are less prone to cracking.

Filters all screwed together with steel endcaps is the most compact way to carry filters. Only works if they are all the same size. Package is almost indestructible.
