Just had a quick gander at the member list....
We currently have 1802 registered members (though there'll be some double-ups in amongst that lot)

Of that 1802, 1002 have never made a post, 324 have made less than 10 posts and only 386 have made more than 50 posts.

A lot of lurkers out there!

Indeed. I've got a double, Dad has a double... and there are a couple of people who for some reason joined several times without checking their email making them triples.

We have a lot of lurkers, but meh, they'll join in on the fun when they're ready, I guess.

That would be me. It seems to have gone really downhill there lately and hard to improve with no real critique happening.

Does the software allow tracking to see whether those 1000 odd people are actually lurking, or just registered at some point in the past never to be seen again?

Leigh this concept fills me with dread. I hope I never run into the doppelganger of either of you. A world with one of each of you scared me enough. And now you tell me this

I've put some code into the profile that Leigh and I see (and you do when updating yur own profile) that displays the member's last login date and time. I actually just added that code last week. I could probably add similar functionality to the general profile page that everybody sees if you like.

I could also look at adding the "member active" indicator as well: that tells me whether the member has responded to the registration email. If they haven't, they cannot login.
