Finally, got a D70 this week! Here's the very first pic I took. Posted just for the heck of it, because it was first. Right away it's so much better than my old Coolpix.
I've still got to read the manual etc. But I had 3 shots in a row that were a bit weird, not sure what happened, just hope it doesn't do it again. Here's one. I got this camera from a member here, I hope the thing is OK? I've already emailed him because what I got wasn't exactly what he said I would get accessory-wise. No reply yet... Anyway, looking for to submitting some serious posts and photos soon. Cheers, Danny. - Danny

The excitement! If you're anything like me, clear your weekends and evenings and get ready for a whole bunch of fun (and some frustration) that comes with owning a decent DSLR.

Any ideas on that second image? It was almost like the camera had a bit of a jam? A niggling worry....

I did have a play with manual focus? Like I said I haven't sat down with the manual yet, I just couldn't resist going outside and clicking off a couple of shots.
Yes, it was Micheals (Atorie) camera, but he's gone quiet on me. It only did it for 3 shots and hasn't done it again, but I haven't used it much yet. -danny - Danny

I thought it was the other Michaels, don't know if this one has been serviced. His name is still in the comment section of the camera, you may want to change that There is another thread here asking where he is, mentioned he had been travelling, though posted a day or two ago, you may want to follow that up, especially if there was some confusion about extras. The thread was called "Where is Atorie?"
