Web design?Morning all,
Looking at getting an online portfolio type website done up and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a designer? I currently have a site I knocked up myself using dreamweaver. Its a bit rough and i'd like to get a simple but effective site to put on business cards. I've heard lots of horror stories about designers and would like someone who can do it quickly, simply and to my basic specs. Any suggestions? adam PS - if this is the wrong forum my apologies and feel free to bump it to where it should live He who knows how to laugh at himself will never cease to be amused...
Hi Adam,
I do a bit of that (in between looking after a 3 y.o.) as a freelancer. Have a look at http://www.optogamut.com/webdesign.php for a look at some stuff I've done and if you want to discuss further let me know. Horror stories!? Cheers, Danny. - Danny

Hi Danny, nice designs
I am actually photographing a wedding at Loxley on Bellbird Hill this weekend
Danny - thanks for that. I had a look at your site and I like some of the sites you've done! I'll flick you an email shortly.
As far as horror stories go, perhaps i exaggerated a little . I've heard a fair few stories of designers giving poor service might be a better way of saying it!! Nothing terrible, just drawn out build times, overly complex and hard to update etc etc. adam He who knows how to laugh at himself will never cease to be amused...
No worries.
Shutterbug: Ah yes, Loxley....never actually been there Trouble in design usually comes up when the designer doesn't have a good idea what the client wants, it can end up getting revised forever. You need to start with goals and a plan. And like anything, you get what you pay for, the more compilated with backends, databases, fully editable. etc. the more it costs (and the easier to break..) Look forward to hearing what you'd like to do. cheers, Danny. - Danny
