You need to change your image to 8 bits. You can't save 16 bit images as jpeg. Go to Image/Mode/8 bits per channel. You can set Adobe Camera Raw to either 8 or 16 as a default. You must have changed it to 16.

You can save as TIF format in 16 bit and most print-shops accept that format as well... It might make for a higher quality image...

Actually John, I know from some friends who work at various imaging print houses around Sydney that they'll charge extra to convert from a 16-bit file to an 8-bit.
It's ridiculous I know but as a suggestion, I'd convert all your images to 8-bit just in case.

Good advice, Leek, except that sometimes the 16bit TIFF files are just too big for the shops to handle (if they aren't pro labs).
