Stubbsy's now 6000 posts old!Howdya feel?
Congratulations Peter. As one of the the elder statesmen of this forum (and I mean that in the most respectful way) you have helped a countless number of members improve their photography, learn more about their gear, have a chuckle along the way and realise that Newcastle is (almost) the centre of the universe (behind Brisbane ) I look forward to many more of your observations, critiques and witicisms and thank you for your contributions here. Well done Peter,
always enjoy your well thought out responses, tips, comments, humour, etc, etc. Even better, you are based in Newcastle thanks for all the help, André Photography, as a powerful medium of expression and communications, offers an infinite variety of perception, interpretation and execution. Peter - what can one say about a man who produces fisheye shots, but looks normal. Has more hair than a mammal deserves and can lock down a thread faster than a fly fart - a treasure - well done

Thank you all for your kind comments. Post counts in a sense are a meaningless thing. The real thing to measure here is the nature of the people and the quality of their advice and assistance. Were it not for others here I wouldn't have developed and grown my skill base to its current level (and, yes, I still have an awful long road in front of me before I'm famous ).
So thanks to each and every one of you for what you have given me along the way. Can I lock this thread now Peter

Difference between a good street photographer and a great street photographer.... Removing objects that do not belong... happy for the comments, but .....Please DO NOT edit my image..... http://bigpix.smugmug.com Forever changing
Dinner cancelled (friend & wife panicking because labour contractions have started ) so I could have driven to Sydney for Vesak day tonight instead of leaving home tomorrow at 6 am Bernie - A D2X is just too heavy for me hence my unsated D200 lust. Peter

I think Lost Dingo is right your a big softee Peter! I certainly thing your photography will only get better with a more powerful / versatile tool in your hands.
On Ya Stubbsy,
Well done, I can remember when Birddog was 6000 years old, how time flies. This doesn't mean you are half the man as he, just half as much photo gear. Keep on Keeping on. I'm still here, just a faint spirit just watching from afar. Mic.
You guys had better stop saying all those nice things about me or I'll get a swelled head. Ooops, that's right. Too late for that
Peter
