Finally!!!!! Lens has arrived - Test img included

Postby PiroStitch on Mon May 15, 2006 1:26 pm

The lens has finally arrived and the missing parcel issue is now resolved :D

Stupid Australia Post ended up confusing my suburb with another :S

Thanks all for the help and support. Will post pics up eventually :D

On first go, it's a heavy, heavy mofo of a lens.

:D Had a few test shots and all seems nice and sharp.

No need for gym membership - daily regime to build up muscles will be to do about 5 sets with the lens ;)

Have uploaded a test shot - but due to jpeg conversion, it's made the image soft :S

Raw file is tack sharp at 2.8 with a nice bokeh :D

Well from the Exif its atleast 2.8 and covers 300mm.

Could be a 300mm/ 2.8 ?

There's also some other possibilites I guess.....

I'm not 100% sure, but I reckon it's a good guess :) and yes it would be heavy.

Guess again :)

I wish I had the $$$ for a 300mm f2.8...then again, wish I had a use for a lens that size :)

Nay my fellow peers, the correct answer is 80-200 f2.8 AF-D :D One touch, but it's still good :D
