Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.
Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.
Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

A nice series of shots. My pic is #2... slightly different view of the SOH and SHB than we are used to.
Cheers

I think #2 also, I like the top framing palm leaves. Only picky bit have, is I think it would look even better if the palm, (that you can see all of it) wasn't there.
#3 I don't like the amount of blk sky that you can see. maybe if was a clear night and you could see some stars in there maybe it would be better

Yeah actually, the more and more i look at the second one, the more and more i like it I also think the shot would have been so much nicer if it was only the leaves that was framed, however i don't think it was physically possible for me to do, i wanted to get the length of the bridge, and the opera house at the bottom and to do that, that palm had to be in view. As for #3, yeah that shot would have worked so much better at around 4:30pm/5pm or so, but the weather was very cloudy last night, so i think i'll have to try a lot of these shots again another day. rooboy wrote:You better hope Birdy doesn't see this (we all know he will, as the ominpresent forum mindreader ), you may experience a stream of Duck comments

Great series. #2 and the last are my picks here. #2 great use of framing and excellent exposure - Last like the perspective and the camera settings have created a lovely balance between subject and background (sky) Creamy smooth transitions
cheers
