Slideshow for your viewing.Hi there,
I got bored this afternoon so thought I'd have a play with making a slideshow... Can anyone comment on what they think of this as a screensaver? This is my first one so would love some tips on how to improve. Also, for those that know ProShow Gold... The transition to the next slide starts before the movement of the current slide has finished... I've tried playing with the slide duration and transition duration settings but no luck... can anyone help me there? Take a look here (probably for broadband only) http://www.australiandigitalphotography ... itled.html Thanks for looking Paul[/url] http://www.australiandigitalphotography.com

I like some of the zoom in/out movement, although it seems as though the zooms are a bit "quick" for me and too regular, maybe if you added some fade in/outs etc???
Terrific bird images too, some great Australian icons there... Aka Andrew
There are some excellent pix here. In fact, I think they, rather than the effects, should be the feature of the show.
If you reduce the number of zooms, slow down the ones that are left, and lose some of the rotations in transitions, I feel the viewer will see far more of your excellent photographs and enjoy the experience more. I have found that I usually need some third party input with my slideshows, too. It's very easy to overdo the technology to the detriment of the photography. TFF (Trevor)

Thanks for the comments. I think you may have a point there. Will have another shot when I get some time again... slowing down the zooms and reducing the effects Paul http://www.australiandigitalphotography.com

Yeah but who uses macs these days? Joking, Joking... Will look into that. Maybe it's a Proshow thing only to support windows. Paul http://www.australiandigitalphotography.com

To continue on the can of worms, I've already got enough plugins on my computer, I don't need another one
Not sure if that would be an issue for others. And I have a Mac, so it wouldn't work for me anyway I'm sure the photos would be great if I could see them, knowing the photos you take. cheers, André Photography, as a powerful medium of expression and communications, offers an infinite variety of perception, interpretation and execution. Thanks for letting me know.
The aim of the slideshows is for a screensaver or .exe file to work on ppl's computers so the plugin thing isn't a problem ultimately... I just wanted to post it on the web to get opinions first. Paul http://www.australiandigitalphotography.com

As an aside....
Is there a screensaver file format that will work on both Windows and Mac (assuming Mac's have screensavers?...I honestly don't know). Otherwise I'll have to look for a program that outputs both... ... or ignore Mac users Paul http://www.australiandigitalphotography.com
