Picture of the Week - 6 June 2006Despite the date, there were some absolutely top images from which to select this week's PotW. (Anything with a horror theme didn't make the final cutoff - 666 images ).
The winner this week has submitted a significant number of high quality images recently. For example, this thread contains the winning image and another fine photo. Folks, the winnner is stubbsy, with the image of Darling Harbour, from his Neon Night post above. This picture was actually made with a Nikkor 10.5 FE lens, and then partially defished to produce the stunning result you see. Some night shots can be cliches, but not this one. It is postcard perfect, with outstanding colours and spot-on exposure. Congratulations Peter. Last edited by the foto fanatic on Tue Jun 06, 2006 9:15 am, edited 1 time in total.

Great shot Stubbsy, and I agree with cricketfan, there's a whole stream of great work coming from you at the moment. Keep it up
We might have to set up a duck of the week for Birdy So join in the chorus, and sing it one and all!
Great pick,
congrats Peter, as others have said, you are showing us some great work lately. That FE lens is certainly more then just a toy in your hands, cheers, André Photography, as a powerful medium of expression and communications, offers an infinite variety of perception, interpretation and execution. PS: If you haven't viewed this pic in a larger size (I recommend that you navigate to Peter's smugmug site and look at the original), then you haven't experienced its full impact.
There is a lot of detail to enjoy. Last edited by the foto fanatic on Tue Jun 06, 2006 9:54 am, edited 1 time in total.

Thanks Trevor for selecting me and to all of you for your kind comments. This is my third picture of the week, but the first one where I was proud of the image selected. So far as PP I will be adding a thread in the PP section next week where I walk through my standard PP steps.
