The d70 is a nice piece of gear!

After shooting 500 frames at my sisters wedding and then another 700 odd in NZ and really being quite nasty to it and taking it to some pretty amazing places I am really happy with it's performance...

After going to a few bars and cafes where artists put their wares for sale up on the walls I can now say I am happy to do the same and will start askiing around my local area (after doing some framing and printing)

I can honestly say that if a picture does not turn out it is my fault and not the cameras...

So are we all feeling warm and fuzzy?

I echo your sentiments MHD. The first thing I did after buying the D70 was drag it through the high humidity monsoonal rain of the tropics daily for two weeks before I bought bag for it. It has since seen scorching tropical heat, sub-zero temperatures, been dropped/tumbled, exposed to the water spray at the base of Niagra Falls (akin to standing under a shower fully clothed), knocked various items hard and soft while hanging from my shoulders, etc. all without missing a beat.

Anyone who claims the polycarbonate exterior of the D70 does not or cannot withstand field abuse has the wrong impression. I don't imagine many who would subject theirs to similar treatment, but I thought nothing of it at the time because I hadn't read of the need to baby it due to its supposedly fragile "plastic" exterior. Its build quality is far from "consumer grade" *cough* 300D *cough*. Upon purchase, I expected the D70 build quality to be on par with the previous Nikon cameras I'm familiar with, and so far it has met and exceeded my expectations.

MHD, I wish you all the best with selling your works. If you're wanting to know more about the business side of things - I can recommend you hassle JordanP and Geoff, among others, who have their own biz.
