Thanks for the link, it's a fairly convincing fake, if I hadn't seen the comparisons between the genuine and the fake, I would of assumed it was the real thing.

All,
Why member bother in buying "cheap" CF card on eBay?

And my question is:
Is anything in big difference/ variation between Sandisk/ Lexar and Transcend card? in quality/ reliability/ speed?

Me? Not at all and I shoot with D2x, and all my CF cards are Transcend and Astone in the past 24 months.

My supply's source delivered straight from Transcend Taiwan via Transcend Australia.

Sold more than 1000 pcs in public and about 500 pcs to all members on board, none of them returned or reporting faults so far.

And they're far better price than Sandisk and Lexar.

Even if you seen the faked, you are still not noticed till you use it.Then it's too late for changing your mind.

Well I know a member ordered a 4gb off ebay last week, I hope it turns out to be the genuine article, my guess is while the sellers are happy to refund the money on the fakes that are picked up on, its probably 1 in 20 that get sent back.

The prices seen on e-bay lately for san disk have been so low that MANY people would have been sucked in to buying these fakes...I NEARLY did.....

I just checked with the member, and good news he's two 4gb Sandisks were genuine and get got them for $150 each or there abouts, so there are atleast some genuine cards on the ebay market.

I have never got a fake from Birddy, at his prices why would I buy anywhere else?

Plus I know where he lives unlike a nameless, faceless, ebay scammer.

CF cards are so cheap from Birdy that I only use mine once and then throw them away! It's nice to use a fresh card each time! :D :D
