Wine and computersI've noticed that when I've had a couple of wines my spelling goes off! What the hell's wrong with my computer?

Matt. K

Whats my excuse then? I very rarely drink so it must just come natural for me. I 'm illiterate at times!! or is that most times. HAHAHA

Just don't spill your wine (red or white) over the keyboard - like I did last weekend...
After that, even though you're typing the right keys, you're spelling looks a bit like this: T415 4a5 n3v3r 4app3n3d t0 m3 h0n35t Translations anyone???
LOL, you could always start rearranging your keyboard alphabetically. Wouldn't this make more sense than the current qwerty arrangement?
Matt,
If you're noticing this happenning, then you've obviously not yet had enough wine. g.

My spelling is crap most of the time let alone when I’ve had a few reds.
I just read when I’ve had too many, even find that hard some times. Cheers Ray >> All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism<<

Actually, the spelling here at d70Users is really bad. I have often wondered whether some of the more extreme examples have been ironic commentaries on the curiosities of the language. However, the spelling doesn't matter, so I have consciously decided to ignore it. So as to avoid being an annoying fart who needs a life etc.
But if the spelling problems are caused by wine or other intoxicant intake, then all is well. I can just read a post, and think..Oh, xxxx has had a couple of quiet ones today/tonight, jolly good show. Greg - - - - D200 etc

State dependent learning is a well established psychological phenomenon. Basically we recall stuff better when we're in the same physiological state as we learnt it. An example of breaking the rule is the person who stays up late, drinks lots of coffee swatting for exams then has a good sleep and trots off to the exam a mental blank. Anyways, to improve your spelling when you've been drinking all you need do is learn to spell/type when you've been drinking Peter
