Ridata Compact FlashJust wondering if anyone here has any reports on Ridata brand CF cards?
They seem pretty good value. Termy,

I admit these ARE great prices but I`m after a 4gig card for my D200.
It seems Birddog is out of stock at the moment. Just wondering if the Ridata`s are reliable. Regards, Termy,

I wonder what the ETA is on the 4GB cards from Birdy? I don't think it would be too long. g.

I have been using the Ridata brand for a couple of years...from 512MB to 4GB cards. They have been great. Recently, since last year I have been investing in a FEW transcend cards all are great too. Get the 8GB if you have the D200.
Not too long, I guess! I have a backorder on my book of: 200 x 4Gb Card 100 x 8Gb card For my "Taxpayer's funds" customers. And I urgently want them prior to the end of this financial year. P.S: from above, I can only put aside a small limited quantity for this community at a special pricing close to my cost, my profits will be off set from a big bills which I send to my customers. Honestly, if they're anything like their DVD media, I'd run like hell away from them.

Hmm. Bad experience? I'm using Ridata DVD media all the time and never had any faulty disk. Recently brought up some old files from 2 years old archives - they are all well Also I have older 1Gb Ridata CF card which is also 2 years old and still working quite well Mikhail

I have been using their DVD-R's it has been great, no problems
i've been using a ridata CF card for a while now. would appear to be a great card, i've not had any trouble with it. its got a life time warranty as well which is some reassurnace. its going pretty cheap on ebay at the moment - 2gb for $79 shipped from sydney. not sure how you'd tell if it was genuine or not.

I've had RiData cards for a few years now and no problems. Started with a 512MB one and gave it away with the camera, gave the 1Gb to my sister after a couple of years, sold a 2Gb recently, have a 2Gb and 4Gb one left. no problems, but a 52x card is not as fast as the 80x or 120x Transcend I got off Birdy. I'm probably going to buy off Birdy now, the transcend's seem reliable and they're very cheap if you know where to get them

I started with a 256Mb RIDATA CF card when I bought the CP5700 quite a few years ago, and have used 512MB and 1GB RIDATA cards with the D70, all with zero problems.
I bought a 133X Sandisk 2GB card for the D200 because it was faster than the 80X RIDATA cards available at the time I needed a new card. Gordon D70, D200, CP5700
It's not a real good deal but the Transcend 4Gb 120x is offering from $130.00 - $150.00 locally. Birddog114

It IS a good deal if they have stock and you need it now and you don`t have enough posts up to buy from here yet

That's the good thing about posting deals; someone always tops it five minutes later! Agree that's even better value. It's a pity the old, small capacity cards can't be recycled and upgraded. Somewhere I've got an 8Mb CF card.
