Darb,

Great work. I like the comparison between day and night.

The sharpness and exposure is excellent.

What gear did you use to do this? (I have to assume a D70 was involved?)

that autostitch software ... its not as controllable as the panorama factory, but so far its unbeatable, and free !! and it doesnt even need installation, its just a single .exe and off it goes. Kicks ass.

... i took 6 random, barely relative, non setup photos of my whiteboard, whacked it into the autostitch and it figured it out perfectly, pano factory can not do that.

it even works out horizontally ... unlike pano factory where you have to tell it the sequence ..

http://photos.darb.net/photos/stuff/autostitch/pano.jpg (crappy quality jpeg compression so its not too huge.)

Not a bad attempt Darb.

If you could 'nail' one of these shots i reckon you might give Tony Grieg a run for his money with his 9msn ripoff merchandise :)

Interesting work

Maybe from a purist's perspective (that is cricket purist, not photog purist!) a slightly higher viewpoint would be better.
Showing lots of potential though.

At least you enjoy yourself! That's the main thing. If cricket gets boring, start shooting.

For a quick shot(s) this is very good. My one comment would be to clone out the cranes in the background as my eye kept leaping to them.

Must give this pano thingy a go :)

Here’s one I took yesterday of the job we are on ATM.
I thought it would be a good one to give Pan Factory a run for it’s money with all the lines to line up.
It done a good job IMO :D

Darb,
What parameters do you use for Autostitch? particularly the Output size parameters?
I've just been playing around with it and it seems to have problems whenever I select an output scale of more than 50%.
Also, I tried to do a stitch of about 10 photos and it only seems to pick up the first 4 - ever encountered that?
