Erm,

Sorry to be the last to get this, but is this store for real do people think?
The prices are great - but I don't want to part with money just yet in case it's a scam.
D2x price is unreal!!!

IMO no way it's legit. Domain was only registered less than a week ago and prices are just too good.

EDIT: quick Google turned up this: http://www.resellerratings.com/forum/sh ... did=119685

It seems Danilla are only one of many "unbelievable" prices.

D200 body for $1215.85 US

I guess the US stands for Un-Solicited
or Ur Sucked-in
or U got Scammed
or something like that...

I wait for Birdy / Maxwell / Nikon / Australian supply with Australian warranty and then I will be :D happy :D

Okay, I have to admit I emailed Birdy this morning and have withdrawn from the waiting list for a D200 after 6 and a bit months. Bugger Maxwell, they are not going to get my business.

I am eagerly awaiting what Birdy can do through Poon. $1999 for the body looks good.

18-200m Nikon is it Available yet..?

Postby NeoN on Wed Jul 12, 2006 12:11 pm

Some of the prievious comments, regarding this lens have been , real Lemon. to really good lens.I would appreciate any opinions or comments about it, and most importantly i would like to ask Birddog is it available yet? or in the near future through any of your Specials as I am interested in purchasing one, along with a D200 body.
Having just returned from an oversea's trip, I noticed I missed one of
Birddogs specials again.
All comments and advice is most welcome.

Do a search on my posts or on 18-200 and you will find some feedback on the lens.

IMHO, love it. Check out the squirrel.

We have had it since February, got it at Teds in Melb. for $1150.
Here is Bjorns review. It's pretty accurate in my opinion.
I will emphasise the CA evident when you zoom in on something in the distance, say mountains against the sky.
Also see this thread of a photo I took.
That is obviously with no zoom, but a fine example of the CA I speak of.
Scroll down to the edited bit of the moon, just below the main photo....

Hope that helps.

Sorry guy!
This thread is dedicated for the D200, not for the 18-200.

Neon - just start a new thread and call it 18-200 Gripes and Availability and ask the same question again.

Hey everyone... guess what I've got???

Arrived safely this morning via Fedex and many thanks to Birddog for trying so hard for me.

One week less than 6 months after ordering and finally I have my new baby.

And Maxwell can go and get...... their own D200!

Lucky bastard!

I was talking to my accountant about making purchases from HKG as I was concerned about having tax invoices etc (I've ordered a D200 via Maxhell's) and he basically said as long as i can prove that I purchased the goods (bank statement showing the funds transfer is enough) then I can claim them as a business expense......if my D200 doesn't come soon I may have to cut my losses and import from the dark side!! :violin:
