This is nothing to do with bracketing. It's the selction of which focus point you'll be using, when you're not using the closest focussing method.
Use the thumb pad on the back of your camera to select the various points; select the one that is the one where you want your lens to be focussed.
For instance, if you're shooting in portrait
mode, with the RH side of your camera raised, the rightmost point illustrated in your post would in fact be uppermost, and it would also be somewhere near the eyes in a person's face were that your subject.
