So I finally got myself a DSLR !!!

Postby seedyrom on Tue Jul 18, 2006 11:55 pm

Have been trying for a while to get a D70 (a member even called me a lurker when I tried to buy at his advertised price! - damn my low post count :D ) anyway ... I finally snared the prize in an ebay auction. It arrived today and I couldnt wait to take a photo of my desktop.

First one with the poxy Nikon Coolpix 2500

and then the awesome Nikon D70

Wow ... the difference is remarkable :P

Now I've gotta learn me some photoshop CS2 skills I think.
Sigh .... I knew it wasnt going to be easy.
I may even be able to make my desk look clean with a healthy dose of Post Processing :D

Anyway ... I may be asking some annoying questions till I learn a bit more.
I'm sure this is going to be the most reading I've done since Uni.

oh ... and until my post count gets up to 50 so I can post in the For Sale section, I'll just let you know that once I have permission to, I'll be asking whether anyone has a Speedlight SB-800 , or an AF-S 70-200 f2.8G VR lens for sale in sydney. Looking to pay $450 and $1950 respectively.

Anyway ... look forward to meeting you all.

Cheers,
Seedy

Well the D70 doesn't make your desk look any tidier :)

Congratulations on your new toy. Enjoy it :)

Well I'm going to play "Spot the difference" (apart from the different field of view)

1. Chair turned in a different direction
2. Nikon lens cap on the desk in the second shot

If you put your D70 down on your desk there is a fair chance you'll never find it again. :)

I guess that's why he's called Seedyrom.... *boom tish* Thank you thank you! I'm here all week, try the tuna sandwich! It's great :D

Welcome to the forums and you'll probably regret it in a few months once the lust and the empty wallet starts gnawing.

Your space looks pretty neat and tidy to me.

This might explain why I haven't put a photo in the Your Desk Now thread.

Congratulations seedy, now it really starts :D
